New York State Law requires that all dogs harbored in the state be licensed by the age of four months. The license must be renewed every year while the dog is living. Proof of a current rabies vaccination and spay/neuter certificate must be provided.
Annual fees are $5.50 for a spayed or neutered dog and $13.50 for an unspayed or unneutered dog.
There are 4 ways to license your dog:
MAIL - Send a check or money order and a self-addressed stamped envelope to The Town of Fine 4078 SH 3, Star Lake, NY 13690 along with the current rabies certificate.
IN PERSON - Come in to the Clerk's office during business hours at 4078 SH 3, Star Lake.
DROP BOX - Place check or money order, dog information and current rabies certificate in an envelope and place in the drop box in the door. Your license and rabies certificate will be returned to you in the mail.
NEW ONLINE RENEWAL OPTION!!!! - To renew a license where the rabies certificate is still valid you can now RENEW ONLINE! ONLINE go to https://dogs.egov.basgov.com/Dogs/Search?munirecid=181 and follow the prompts!
Current year taxes are collected by this office from January - May for Town & County taxes, and September - October for school taxes. Taxes can be paid in person, by mail, or online at the link below. We accept cash, check, money order, or credit and debit cards (with a fee).
